In 1964, GIJOE® seized the "gung-ho" spirit of youths across America with the original GIJOE® Action Sailor. This fully poseable Navy recruit came dressed in authentically styled Navy clothing with sailor cap and metal dog tags, along with a GIJOE® Navy Training Manual. Other Navy outfits and gear were soon available, including a Shore Patrol Set, Deep Sea Diver Set and a Navy Frogman set. The Frogman set was available only as an accessory set, until 1966 when an Action Sailor figure could be purchased wearing the familiar orange scuba suit along with a motorized Sea Sled that really dived in water.
By the end of the decade, GIJOE® had members from every branch of the United States military, as well as representatives from many foreign armed forces. Other GIJOE® adventure teams were developed to expand GIJOE®'s theater of operations and help defend the world from a variety of villains. These teams laid the groundwork for today's heroes of military might as they continue the fight for freedom and justice around the world, battling the evil forces of Cobra~ with unrelenting determination. Now, this commemorative "Action Sailor" Navy figure has been deployed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of GIJOE®! This "Real American Hero" represents GIJOE®'s original Action Sailor and the adventurous spirit of his exciting missions. This fully poseable figure includes specialized commemorative weapons and accessories for added action and collectibility. |
| In 1964, GIJOE® seized the "gung-ho" spirit of youths across America with the original GIJOE® Action Soldier. This fully poseable Army figure, appearing with the now famous battle scar that hinted at GIJOE®'s secret past, featured authentically styled fatigues, metal dog tags, Army cap, boots and a G.l.Joe Army Field Training Manual. Accessory sets were soon available to equip the Action Soldier, including the popular Green Beret Machine Gun Outpost (1966) that included numerous accessories, battle weapons and 2 camouflaged outfits. Also, available in 1967, a West Point Cadet Set styled directly from actual cadet outfits.

In 1964, GIJOE® seized the ''gung-hol' spirit of youths across America with the GIJOE® Action Pilot. The original, fully poseable Air Force Fighter Pilot came dressed in an authentically styled orange flight suit with cap and metal dog tags, along with a GIJOE® Air Force Training Manual. The outfit was orange because the blue flight suit was not ready when production began. Later in the year, all of the Action Pilot figures came with the blue flight suit instead of the orange. Other outfits also became available, including a dress uniform with silver flight wings on the chest and captain's bars pinned to the shoulders. And in 1967, another figure appeared in the basic orange flight suit, yet this time featured a working parachute that measured 29" in diameter.

| In 1964, GIJOE® seized the "gung-ho" spirit of youths across America with the original G.I. Joe Action Marine. This fully poseable 'Marine Corps Commando came dressed in authentically styled camouflage fatigues with metal dog tags and a GIJOE® Marine Training Manual. Also available in 1964 was the Dress Parade.Set that featured an authentically styled Gress Marine outfit with dress shoes, Marine cap, rifle and other accessories. Other popular action sets included the Beachhead Assault Set, a Paratrooper Parachute Pack set and the Jungle Fighter set. In 1967, the Talking Action Marine barked out real Marine commands such as "Let's go, leathernecks!" and "Marines hit the beach ! "
